Well, it's official. I'm a quarter of a century old today. And, the sad part is that I have to spend the next 3 days studying for a huge exam that I have on Tues.
I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and grew up in Orlando, Florida. I got my BS in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Florida. I moved from FL in 2005 to pursue my dream of becoming a dentist, and I'm now in my third year of dental school in the mid-west. I graduate in May of 2009 and that day cannot come soon enough.
I live in a condo with my husband (2nd yr med student) and 4 pets (2 dogs and 2 cats). I guess we're what people consider to be modern day hippies. We're both vegan and are very passionate about living "green" and causing the least harm possible to the environment and to the organisms around us. While it is impossible to live perfectly vegan and "green", we do the best we can by maintaining a plant based diet, buying cruelty free products, and recycling.
My husband promised me a vegan feast for my birthday which will include a yummy dessert. I'll post the pics when they become available.
In the mean time, watch this video. It will push you out of your comfort zone, but it will open your eyes.
